This year I have started a 6 week summer fitness programme which is now at the end of the 4th week. I have had 14 sign up for it and those who have been every week and stuck to the nutrition programme have really started to see and feel results. I wanted to shout out a fantastic 'Well Done' to those who have been coming as everyone has done amazingly well. The group were given a very different nutrition programme with lots of nutritious meal ideas and told to avoid refined carbohydrates except for post the exercise session. All of the meals have been full of different proteins and healthy fats and the feedback was how full it has made them feel and they haven't wanted to snack. Most of them have managed to come to the 3 mornings a week (6.30 - 7am) sessions, when the kids were still sleeping & been put through 20 minutes of a high intensity workout (HITT), a 30 min session in total. I am so impressed by their dedication to get up - some have been working late, had a summer cold or been up in the night with crying kids etc etc but they are still there ready for the 6.30am start. They were all measured at the start of the 6 weeks and will re-measure at the end - one of the ladies (there is one man!!!) after 2 weeks had sneakily measured herself to see inches already coming off!! We have 2 weeks to go so I will give you feedback at the end to see how a little determination, a reason to either get fit or lose weight and having someone to motivate them to do it can have such positive results. I'm afraid it really is only suitable for those with older kids (least a year)/no split abs/pelvic floor issues - so if anyone fancies doing this during August we are carrying on with an extension of 2x sessions a week for 4 weeks, email me firstname.lastname@example.org to ask for more details.
