Menopause Exercise Programme

An education, a shared experience and a connection for women going through hormonal changes. Education, exercise & a whole body approach to everything menopausal.

Menopause Exercise Programme

Have you been through the menopause or are you peri-menopausal and want to know how to move more?

I have created a 3 session course – 1x every 2 weeks for women who want to be educated about WHAT exercise is best for the menopausal years & HOW to do it properly.

How to start resistance training for those in the peri/post menopause

  • Do you want to learn HOW to start basic resistance training or cardio?
  • Do you want advice on how to stay strong and healthy as you age?
  • Do you want to feel more confident doing exercise?
  • Do you want to exercise but are scared as you have a prolapse or pelvic floor issues?
  • Do you want to know WHAT exercise to do for your body as you age?

If you said YES to most of those questions then come and join my live, small group sessions.  You can book here.

This is aimed at ALL women – whether you have experienced premature menopause (before the age of 40), have had a hysterectomy, have had cancer, are in your 40’s & noticing a bit of a change and if you are post menopause and know they need to do more to help stay healthy.

Why am I offering this programme?

Many women hear that lifting weights is good to do in the menopause, but do not know where to start or what to do or don’t feel confident walking into a weights room at a gym.

Many women don’t know how to do a Squat or do press ups safely, without injuring themselves.

Some come and see me saying they feel they should be running but hate it or don’t know how to start.

I see so many women who come and see me and say ‘I don’t know where to start’ when starting exercising or lifting weights. Now is your chance to get motivated and feel confident using weights or creating an exercise programme.

Why is this course for menopausal women?

I want to build a community so you can help support each other, going forwards – you will be given homework!

I want everyone to be able to comfortably talk about HRT, weight, the pelvic floor and to know no one should suffer in silence and feel ashamed of anything about themselves.

I honestly don’t mind if you aren’t in the menopause and just want to learn how to do exercises properly, but I will be offering advice and education in the sessions, not just about strength training.

I want you all to take ownership – to use the information so you can confidently work out at home, the gym or at big classes where no one really watches technique.

What will the course involve?

  • Small group (max of 10) live sessions.
  • There will be 3 sessions of 2 hrs each, with 2 weeks in between to go off and practice at home – Tuesday evenings.
  • You will learn HOW to do the main movement patterns like squats, lunges, press ups, rows etc
  • You will learn how to PROGRESS exercises & WHICH exercise is the best for you.
  • You will learn more about the menopause – an informal chat on anything YOU want to chat about from pelvic health, weight gain, nutrition & self-care.
  • You will be set homework and given training ideas – hence the bi-weekly sessions, so you have to start taking ownership to exercise.
  • You will learn that time is NOT a barrier, you can work out effectively in 15 minutes!
  • You will have to invest in buying some Dumbbells (not needed in the first session).
  • You will have a WA or FB group so you can support each other.
  • You will finish the course feeling more confident about how to exercise, get strong and feel healthy. You will have also become more independent with exercise and have a group of ladies who can motivate each other going forwards.
  • You will also, hopefully feel more knowledgeable about the menopause and embrace what YOU have and WHO you are as you age.

How Much & Where?

The 3 sessions (2 hrs each session) £84 (which is only £14 pr hr) or you can pay monthly.

The next course will be at Golden Hill Social Club, Bristol BS6 7YA
